Disappointing PlayStation Showcase?, PC Rumored Announcement? Today, I want to recap the recent PlayStation Showcase and dive into the announcements related to PC. Now, I gotta say, the showcase left a lot to be desired. In my opinion, Sony should be absolutely embarrassed for the subpar event they put out. But let’s get into the details and discuss the PC-related announcements.
PC Game announcements
Now, let’s talk about the PC-related announcements. There have been rumors circulating about PC Games, and according to a reliable source known as the “Snitch” on Discord, there is a PC port coming in July. The source hinted that it could be a triple-A game, and many speculate that it might be “Ghost of Tsushima.” While we can’t confirm this with certainty, it’s exciting to think that a popular game like “Ghost of Tsushima” might be making its way to PC.
In addition to the rumored PC port, Sony did make several PC announcements during the showcase. Let’s take a look at some of the games coming to PC.
Fairgame$
One of the games showcased was “Fairgame$,” a new IP developed by Sony and Haven. While it was only a CG trailer, I’m personally more interested in seeing actual gameplay rather than cinematic trailers. Nevertheless, it’s good to see Sony expanding its horizons and working on new projects.
Dragon’s Dogma II
Another exciting announcement was “Dragon’s Dogma II,” the long-awaited sequel to the underrated action RPG. The original game gained a cult following, and fans have been eagerly waiting for a sequel. Although it might not release until 2025 or 2026, the game looks promising, and it’s great to see it coming to PC.
Alan Wake II
“Alan Wake II” was also revealed during the showcase. While it is an Epic Games Store exclusive, this time I don’t mind it. The reason being that Epic Games directly funded the development of the game, making it possible in the first place. It’s understandable that they want to keep it exclusive to their own storefront. The game looks fantastic, and as a fan of the original, I’m excited to dive back into the thrilling world of Alan Wake
Metal Gear Solid Delta
“Metal Gear Solid Delta” was another surprise announcement at the showcase. This is a standalone expansion to “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” and will feature new missions, characters, and storylines. The game will also introduce a new multiplayer mode, which sounds intriguing. As a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, I’m excited to see this expansion coming to PC.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1
Speaking of Metal Gear Solid, Sony also announced the “Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1” for PC. This collection will include remastered versions of “Metal Gear Solid,” “Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty,” and “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.” It’s great to see these classic games getting the remaster treatment and making their way to PC.
Phantom Blade Zero
“Phantom Blade Zero” was another intriguing PC announcement. Developed by Japan Studio, this game is a stylish action RPG with an emphasis on fast-paced combat and a captivating storyline. The visuals and gameplay showcased in the trailer look impressive, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of this game in the future.

Helldivers II
One of the most exciting announcements for me personally was “Helldivers II.” The original “Helldivers” was a fantastic cooperative top-down shooter, and it’s great to see a sequel in the works. The gameplay trailer showcased intense battles, strategic gameplay, and cooperative action. As a fan of the original game, I can’t wait to team up with friends and dive back into the chaotic and challenging world of “Helldivers.”
Granblue Fantasy: Relink
Lastly, we have “Granblue Fantasy: Relink.” This action RPG developed by Cygames and PlatinumGames has been highly anticipated, and the new gameplay footage showcased during the showcase didn’t disappoint. The game features stunning visuals, intense combat, and a vast fantasy world to explore. As a fan of action RPGs, I’m thrilled to see this game finally making its way to PC.
My Opinion Disappointing PlayStation Showcase
Now, before we get too carried away with our excitement, it’s important to temper our expectations. Many of the trailers shown during the showcase were cinematic trailers, and it’s always a good idea to wait for actual gameplay footage before forming concrete opinions. Additionally, some of the announcements were remasters or expansions rather than entirely new games. While these can still be exciting, it’s important to manage our expectations accordingly.
That’s it for today’s recap of the PlayStation Showcase and its PC-related announcements. Let me know in the comments what you thought of the showcase and which PC game you’re most excited about. As always, stay tuned for more gaming news and updates. Until next time,
